Open OnDemand: Overview
Open OnDemand is a web-based platform that provides an alternative way to using our BOSE computing cluster right from a web browser. In addition to shell access and file management, you can also take advantage of our online interactive apps and virtual desktops, tools that are only available in Open OnDemand.
Developed at the Ohio Supercomputer Center, Open OnDemand is free and open-source and is increasingly becoming a popular platform for computing centers around the world. Learn More »
How To Connect
Off Campus?
If you are not on campus, you'll need to first connect to the UW-Eau Claire VPN before you can access our computing resources.
File Management
Access and manage all your data on our cluster using simple easy-to-use file tools.
Interactive Apps
Utilize some software favorites integrated with the cluster right from the comfort of the browser, such as Jupyter, R-Studio, and Visual Studio Code.
Desktop Apps
Use the cluster's fully-fledged desktop environment to better manage your workflow and run GUI-based programs that need a mouse and are more visual.
